There has been at 90's Silver Suburban driving around the neighborhood. It has some damage to the front right side. It you see this vehicle, please get the license number and call the Sheriff's department.
Perhaps if our homeowners association would increase dues slightly and put the money into an actual security system instead of a fake one, these types of alerts wouldn't be necessary. The false sence of security we are given by the homeowner board is emberassing. The ONE camera we do have cannot and will not be used by the sheriff because it simply records a public road where access to our neighborhood is not illegal. IF you truly care about the neighborhood security ask your president to let you view the video. He wont let you, then he will claim its against the law and the homeowners bi-laws. There is no law since the camera is on private property viewing a public road, second the bi -laws and covenants do not address visitor cameras or security in any way. The camera is simply for one or two people to be nosy about your comings and goings nothing more. True security would be hiring a security patrol at night or getting agate for the community, perhaps asking the sheriff where cameras could be used if at all.
In conjunction with the recently established neighborhood block watch in the community of Highland Meadows in Auburn, WA. this blog was created to serve as an up to date resource for residents who are concerned with their home and their property's security.
In the future, this blog may also be used to disseminate other homeowner information, such as homeowner's meeting minutes.
