Neighborhood Watch ALERT

Received this alert from the Heather Highlands Homeowners: Alert issued 4/15/2011 @ 1:16 PM A home in Waldheim Acres had an attempted burglary Thursday morning between 7:30 and 8:00 am. There were police officers in the Heather Highlands area responding to a suspicious vehicle (321XUR Silver Dodge Intrepid). When they arrived in Waldheim Acres, they found that someone had thrown a heavy object against the side sliding glass door. The noise (or the movement of the door) set off the alarm, and the perpetrator must have left in a hurry. The police officer told the homeowner that this was the same MO as a burglary that happened Wednesday between Ravensdale and Hobart. He also said the registered owner of the vehicle (the silver Dodge) has committed burglaries in the same manner. No one saw any cars or suspicious people in the Waldheim Acres attempted burglary. So it is speculation that the same vehicle was involved. However, Thursday evening about 6:00 pm, the same Silver Dodge Intrepid was spotted in the cul-de-sac on 193rd Ave SE (near the attempted burglary in Waldheim Acres). A homeowner followed the car for a bit, while calling 911, and was told by King County dispatch to back off. If you see this vehicle (Silver Dodge Intrepid, license plate 321XUR), or people in the neighborhood who look suspicious, please call 911 and report it. Tell the police we have had problems in our area, and you want to report a suspicious person or vehicle. It's important now more than ever that we need to watch out over each other's homes, properties, vehicles, etc. It's best to pay attention to your surrondings. Call the police, then call your Block Watch if you see anything suspicious. Thanks for keeping our neighborhood safe!
