Safety & Security:      Repositioning of both license plate and wide angle cameras.
There was a stolen vehicle and utility trailer taken from homeowners residence.
Both were recovered-on within the neighborhood and the other a couple
                                   of miles away.
BE AWARE of anyone walking around the neighborhood that you haven’t seen before.
LOCK your cars, trucks, rv’s, trailers and don’t leave anything within the vehicle in plain site.

Landscape:                  Thank you to Mark Sternard, Ryan Blow, Laurie Bulson for all the assistance.
                                     $1600. spent this year.
Ryan Blow has requested help this year on the laurel hedge on the hill.
Prices for park benches will be looked into and reported at next meeting.

Covenants Update:     Nothing to report.

Neighborhood Events:   Yard sale had a very good turnout.  Shoppers commented on how well the advertising was.  Mid-July is a good time to have the sale.

Neighborhood Directory:       Looking into software for the directory.  Also looking for someone to take it over.

New Business:          Clean Up – will wait and see if needed before spring.

SPEEDERS – SLOW DOWN.  Kids are back in school, buses are back in the neighborhood so don’t pass when the “stop” sign is out.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES – Summer is over so get them off the streets and driveways.  They should be out of sight.

LEASH LAW – is in effect.  Anyone see dogs roaming the neighborhood should call Animal Control – 206-296-7387

Also note that Animal Control officers have been in the neighborhood checking on  animal licenses.

WINDY HILL Cleanup – Saturday, Sept. 29th at 8:00 am at bottom of hill.  Coffee & Donuts too.   Anyone can help.  It’s your hill, take some ownership in keeping it clean.

Please call King County Road Maintenance – 206-296-8100 to ask when the guard rails on the Hill will be replaced.

Next Meeting:   November 15, 2012  7:00 pm at Debbie Bengeult

  1. Correction to meeting minures-
    1- Cameras
there is not two cameras the work in this developement so the minutes should be corrected to provide truth to the homeowners. Secondly the police refuse to use the cameras as any evidence since they will not show a crime only traffic on a public road which is not illegal. The cameras you believe are protecting you are worthless. (false information about where your dues go, perhaps people want to know the truth before paying their dues)

    2- Landscaping
Though the laurels on the hill are an issue, the associations has offered for years to help maintain them and the homeowner has refused help. Now that they are overgrown and to hard to maintain the homeowner is requesting help. If the association intends on using association funds for this then every homeowner who has landascaping needs should be given equal oppertunity to request the association to assist them. (possibly a reason why people don't pay their dues)

    3- Windy hill Ownership?
the hill is not ours, it is a KC road used by multiple associations and members of the public, it is a road that has been adopted by an organization and if homeowner dues are being used to provide coffee and donuts that is a misuse of homeowner funds. (no wonder people don't pay their dues)

    4- Leash Law
Per the king county ordance this neighborhood is not designated as a restricted area for pets. Again another lie by these minutes. The law says you must be in control of your pet by way of leash of voice. Look it up!
As for dogs roaming I have helped my neighbors out and they have helped me by letting me know if my doge has accidently gotten out. Though none of intend to let our pets roam the neighborhood it sometimes happens. What happen to being a good neighbor and knocking on a door? Animal Control has targeted our neighborhood due to complaints. The more calls they recieve the easier the money for them the more trips to our neighborhood they make knocking on doors. Nice neighborhood we live in that we are encouraged to call animal control with less then a mile seperating all of us.

Final word, perhaps if we had a place for kids to play they wouldn't need to play in the streets and we wouldn't need kids at play signs all over the streets of our neighborhood....OH wait they are only on one street in our neighborhood not the whole neighborhood.
