  • An alert was issued from the Heather Highlands Block Watch on 11/10/2009 as follows:

Wolf / Dog Hybrid Update

  • The wolf/dog hybrid animal was spotted at the north end of Lake Holm recently. Animal control has been patrolling our neighborhood lately in hopes of capturing the animal.
  • This animal is considered to be very dangerous. It has killed several dogs in the neighborhood and charged a homeowner. Please be cautious.

The above alert is a follow up to an alert issued on 11/4/2009

Where : East Side of S.E. 328th Div. 3 (lots 14,15,16 ...)at around 3:00 p.m.

What: A homeowner heard a yelp and went outside to check. He found one of his dogs covered with blood and dead. A very large coyote or a wolf charged the homeowner and then took off.
The homeowner's two other dogs ran away down the hill and are still missing. The two dogs that are missing are a black toy poodle that goes by the name of Molly and is about 6 lbs. and a gold and brown female yorkie about 5 lbs. named Tibby. The wolf most likely killed them and carried them off, but if they are seen, please call your block watch rep. The fish and game has set a trap for the wolf. They said it has been killing dogs and has threatened people for a year. It is a very large animal about 100 lbs.
